Hey there!
Here’s a quick thought about April’s PXC Book Club book, Unfiltered:No Shame, No Regrets, Just Me, by Lily Collins. Just for starters, I was not expecting that! I came into the book thinking it would be something like Anna Kendrick’s Scrappy Little Nobody: kinda light, really fun, and with some cool personal stories. Boy was I in for a surprise. This memoir was heavyyyyyyy: Eating disorders, abusive boyfriends, major daddy issues. (Remember her father is musician, Phil Collins). I applaud that Collins shared her story and struggles so transparently, so “unfiltered,”…ohhhh now I get it!

Over the years I’ve had a variety of hairstyles. As a kid I’d probably mostly be remembered for my short hair. It took about 5 years and a few short looks, awkward growing phases until I’ve reached a “past the shoulder” length. I’m quite pleased with it, however, I’m craving something different.
Maybe you can tell, but I’ve left something out from my hair evolution. I’ve never colored my hair, not even pharmacy boxed color, school spirit day color spray. My hair is a color virgin. |
